    12 available positions at the H2020 MSCA COFUND DOC-FAM (2nd Call)

    We invite exceptional candidates to apply for DOC-FAM, an excellence Marie Sklodowska-Curie DOCtoral training programme in Functional Advanced Materials funded from the European Union's Horizon 2020 for the period 2017-2022. The programme, led by the Spanish National Research Council and coordinated through ICMAB in collaboration with several partner Institutions from the area, has a duration of 5 years during which a total of 22 early-stage researcher (ESR) positions of a duration of 3 years will be offered in two different calls.

    Mobility rule: Candidates may not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline. Time spent as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention, compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.

    ESR eligibility criteria: Early-stage researchers (ESR) shall at the call deadline be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree. Full-time equivalent research experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree which would formally entitle him or her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited or seconded, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is or was ever envisaged.

    - Candidates must hold a degree with a minimum of 300 ECTS credits in university studies of which at least 60 must be at Master's level, OR Candidates must hold of a qualification obtained in accordance with foreign educational systems without the need for official recognition, having previously confirmed with the university that this qualification accredits a level of training equivalent to the official Spanish university Master's degree and that it would serve as a means of access to a PhD in the country in which it was awarded.

    - Candidates must have a demonstrable level of English. A proof of upper-intermediate level must be included in the application; this should take the form of one of the recognised international qualifications (minimum CEFR B2, Cambridge English First (FCE), PTE Level 3, IELTS 5-6.5 or TOEFL > 72). Nationals of English-speaking countries and candidates with an official degree (including postgraduate) conducted in English or in an English-speaking country will be also accepted.

    In addition, candidates must submit a complete application in order to be considered eligible. Special attention should be devoted to the Curriculum vitae, certificates of academic records, proof of eligibility, motivation letter, proof of English level and personal details for at least one person willing to provide a recommendation letter.

No other means of submission are acceptable, and therefore any applications received by email will be automatically discarded. Applications received after the closing date will be also considered ineligible.
